YICK TING FAI JEFFREY

█ Jeffrey specializes in general corporate and commercial matters including Hong Kong & US listing projects, public and private mergers and acquisitions and other regulatory and compliance matters on inter alia Hong Kong Listing Rules, Takeovers Code and the Securities and Futures Ordinance, as well as setting up of Hong Kong Limited Partnership Funds and Open-Ended Fund Companies.
█ Throughout the years, Jeffrey successfully handled a number of IPO projects including Main board cases, GEM board cases and transfer listing cases. The relatively more recent IPOs and corporate finance projects which Jeffrey participated in include but not limited to the following: -
█ Jeffrey also has extensive experience in handling compliance and regulatory matters in the insurance field and has experience in handling SFC investigation cases on insider dealing and other SFC offences. Before establishing Yick & Chan, Jeffrey worked in both international and reputable local law firms and acted as independent non-executive director of a number of listed companies in Hong Kong. Jeffrey obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in surveying from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2007. He subsequently obtained the Juris Doctor degree as well as the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009 and 2010. He was admitted to the High Court of Hong Kong as qualified to practice as a solicitor in 2012. He speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. In 2024, Jeffrey also obtained the professional qualification as Greater Bay Area Lawyer.

CHAN WAI KIN KEN

█ Ken’s practices focus on contentious commercial matters such as shareholder disputes, commercial contract disputes, employment disputes, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters. He also handles matrimonial, regulatory and criminal litigation, including SFC regulatory investigation and ICAC investigation.
█ Ken holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Queen Mary, University of London, a Postgraduate Diploma in Competition Law from King’s College London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also passed Bar A of the Singapore Bar Examinations.
█ Ken speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
█ Ken has also been appointed as the Chairman of the Appeal Tribunal Panel of Section 45 the Buildings Ordinance (Cap. 123), member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel of Section 7A of the Housing Ordinance (Cap. 283) as well as the Panel of Adjudicators of Obscene Articles Tribunal.

█ Matthew’s practices cover both civil and criminal litigation. He represents individual and corporate clients in contractual disputes, employees’ compensation actions, common law claims, application under Part II of the Mental Health Ordinance, family proceedings, contested bankruptcy petition and disciplinary hearings.
█ In terms of criminal work, he acts for clients in handling investigations of law enforcement agencies and trials at all levels of court. He handled cases involving charges such as money laundering, handling of stolen goods, blackmail, breach of condition of stay, illegal racing, careless driving and public order offences. Besides acting as instructing solicitor, Matthew also acts as advocate in various proceedings.
